Research Education:
Year 1: 4 weeks are dedicated to identifying a research focus and mentor.
Year 2: 8 weeks are allocated for research, either clinical or basic scientific.
Year 3: 8 weeks are set aside for research, either clinical or basic scientific.
- If the research requirement is completed or if the research plan is incomplete after the second year, the third-year rotations will be converted to clinical rotations. Suggested rotations will be provided by the resident, and the final rotation decision will be at the discretion of the program director.
- An additional four weeks of research can be requested during the third year if required to complete an ongoing project, but this must be approved by the program director.
