Developed by the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Fundamentals of Critical Care is a course providing a breakdown of the basic principles of critical care medicine. Ordinarily organized several times a year through Staff Education and Training, Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellows are expected to attend the course early in their training. They are also expected to accept teaching roles in subsequent courses to fulfil the requirements to become an instructor by the end of their fellowship training.
