General Overview

All clinical rotations are performed in 4-week blocks, with the exception of LDS and National Jewish rotations which may last one month.

Policy Regarding “Non-teaching Patients”: Almost all patients seen during any clinical rotation qualify as “teaching patients,” regardless of the duration or location of the rotation. This applies to both Inpatient and Ambulatory experiences. On the rare occasion of interacting with a “Non-teaching Patient,” fellows are obligated to provide only immediate life-saving care in accordance with ethical principles. If a fellow is unsure about a patient’s “Teaching” status, they should discuss it with the responsible physician. If confusion persists, fellows should contact the Program Director for final resolution.
